Hope 08

To quote Woody Allen, 'I'm not afraid of dying, I just don't want to be there when it happens!' What is Hope? And what is Hope08 for that matter?

Hope '08 is a huge opportunity to impact this nation like never before. Bringing together every type of Christian denomination, organisation and movement, the year long initiative plays on all their strengths to see lives transformed and bring lasting change. It has the potential to be a catalyst, for much more than a year, for lasting word and deed evangelism.

There are a number of ways in which we are supporting this initiative in the parish of Knaphill with Brookwood, to strengthen our relationship with the local community, putting our faith into action and making Jesus known. The following events are planned:

12th April 'Singspiration' barbershop style choir at the Baptist Church, Knaphill
17th May Baptist Church open morning
27-30th May Children's Holiday Club based at Holy Trinity Church, Knaphill
21st June Reach Out (with training evenings on 10,11,16 or 19 June)
25th June Cameo Club special event at the Methodist Church for older people
6th July 'Meet your neighbours' barbeques in both villages
19th - 21st August Older person's Holiday Club based at Holy Trinity Church
31st October Crazy Colour Party for children based at Holy Trinity Church
