Brookwood
Values Homegroup - led by Tim Benson
We
meet weekly in one of our member's homes to study and pray and
to enjoy each others company. We have changed our evening from
Tuesdays to Wednesdays to help accommodate members changing
needs.
After
completing our 2007 Lent course on 'Jesus - the wounded Saviour'
we went on to study 'Ecclesiastes' a study by Christopher Brearley.
This was very challenging to us with sessions on 'The Rat Race'
and 'The Love of Money'. The autumn sessions were an extension
of Nick's talks on the eight 'Life Shapes'. The two sessions
that took our attention most were 'The Pentagon' - 'Knowing
your role in life' and 'The Heptagon' - 'practising the principles
of a vital life'. In other words 'how has God gifted me' and
'am I and are we living a healthy life?'
2008
started with a short 'open' course of DVD talks and some discussion
in the Church Lounge on 'Prayer Ministry Training' by the Rt
Rev Sandy Miller. We have followed this by another Lent Course.
This time it was entitled 'Meeting Jesus' by Elizabeth Rundle
where we studied six Gospel stories which demonstrate how our
Christian attitudes should be to the world we live in.
We
again enjoyed a summer Bar-B-Q and a Christmas meal together.
We welcome anyone who would like to join us. Please speak to
me or contact the church office on 01483 473489, or via e-mail.
