Fairtrade

'The
Fields of the poor may produce abundant food but injustice sweeps
it away.' Proverbs 13.23
Holy
Trinity & St Saviour's are Fairtrade Churches.
We
have committed to:
- Use
Fairtrade tea and coffee for all meetings for which we have
responsibility.
- Move
forward on using other Fairtrade products (such as sugar,
biscuits, fruit)
- Promote
Fairtrade during Fairtrade
Fortnight - and through other activities whenever possible.
- The
SPLAT youth group
at St Saviour's (supported by Jo Birkby) and Holy Trinity
(Jan Velissarides) will be setting up a monthly stall of
Fairtrade products (alternating between St Saviour's &
Holy Trinity), offering some more unusual items such as
pasta, peanuts, honey and fruit snacks as well as tea, coffee
etc. In addition, Val Harris will be selling a range of
Tearcraft
products - jewellery, crafts and cards (perfect Christmas
presents). The dates for these sales are:
- St
Saviour's: Sunday 27th April 2008 and Sunday 8th June
2008
- Holy
Trinity: Sunday 4th May 2008 and Sunday 6th July 2008
